RevelationGolf held its 7th Annual Fundraiser on June 20th at Makray Memorial Golf Club, in Barrington.
No worries about rain this year and the warm weather didn’t slow us down. The Great Lakes Marines officiated the Presentation of the Colors, while Clint Wagner, bagpiper, escorted the flag. They sent our groups onto the course with great joy and purpose. Once again, Diana’s Bananas were a hit out on the course, to the delight of our golfers. It was our live auction that was smoking hot, as the bid for tickets to the 2012 Ryder Cup stole the show. This event is our only major fundraiser for the year, and we raised $20,000 to support our Veterans’ and Children’s Golf Programs, which are offered free of charge for all participants. Special thanks to our program participant, Matthew Splitstone, for sharing his thoughts on the game of golf during lunch and to Steve Kashul, for serving as our master of ceremonies.
